Norwegian Air’s stock is on the uptick after International Airlines Group said it bought almost 5 percent of the company. Pictured is Norwegian CEO Bjorn Kjos, left, at the Skift Forum Europe in 2017. Russell Harper / Skift

Skift Take: A few months ago, Norwegian’s stock was in rough shape, as the airline overextended itself and built up too much debt. That’s still an issue, but shares are in much better shape thanks to an investment from IAG. CEO Bjorn Kjos, who controls a quarter of the airline’s stock, is probably laughing all the way to the bank.
